I got the Mapex Falcon Hi-Hat to replace and upgrade my older Mapex 600 series HH, which was still going strong with no issues after 15 years of moderate use. All my hardware is Mapex and it has never failed. The new Falcon is silky smooth, with large adjustment range for tension on the pedal. The option of short or long rods (comes with both) is a bonus. I have a large kit, so space is becoming an issue. The short rod and two leg, one pedal stand configuration is a bonus for smaller tight spaces. The two leg design is sturdy, and no wobble. This is the quality you get and expect with Mapex. Outstanding value for the money!
